Growing up in Taipei, Taiwan, Ann Fu wanted to be either a National Geographic photographer or a Pixar artist. Today, she combines those childhood dreams by expressing her love of wildlife and whimsy through visual storytelling.
An illustrator, muralist, and former architect, Ann’s work spans murals, printmaking, cartoons, collage, live drawing, and digital illustrations. She has collaborated with the Vancouver Mural Festival, Squamish Mural Walk, BUMP Festival, the City of Richmond, and the City Farmer Society on public art projects. She creates custom window graphics, preventing bird-building collisions, in partnership with Feather Friendly. Regardless of medium or topic, Ann revels in scientific research and uplifting lesser-known stories.
Since moving away from Taiwan as a teenager, Ann lived in the coastal Pacific Northwest for over a decade. She now calls the Canadian Rockies home, and you can find her climbing or taking little walks with her beloved pup, Mo, in her free time.
Momo is a rescue originally from California and adopted in Washington in 2016. She’s a mix of mostly Border Collie, Lab, and Rottweiler. She eats carrots like one might eat corn-on-the-cob, loves sand and ocean waves, and is in general a ginormous love bug. In her old age, Mo likes little walks, gentle fetch, and long naps on her couch.
